Poor Little Democrats - A Satire

Little girls, through no fault of their own, may be born into a family of Democrats and may grow up to be intelligent and wise. They may be blessed with common sense.

They may even grow to accomplish tremendous success in their professional career. Some may marry wonderful men and have several children.

But the little girls born to Democrats, regardlessof the man they marry, must at some point be told there is a limit to what they can accomplish.

For example, if they chose a political career, they maybe could be a Senator. They maybe could even be the Speaker of the House. But, little girls born to Democrats cannot be the country's Vice President.

That is a job for men, or for women with no children, or maybe one or two or even 3 or 4, but certainly not the Mother of 5 children. That's where the Democrats draw the line for women.

Pool little girls, restricted in that way! Too bad! Maybe the Republicans or Independents could adopt these bright little girls born to Democrats and save them from the party inflicted limits on their political careers.

Or maybe that's the Lord's way of keep our country in the control of Republican Women.

Progress? How do we know?

Yesterday morning my husband asked Iva if we were going to fight all day over the "force feeding" of her dog again. There was no answer. That put off the feeding squabble till almost 2:00pm.

What we have discovered is this precious little dog prefers to eat at supper time and not before. It just kills Iva to have an hour go by when her doggie isn't eating. How long has she been making this dog eat when little Poopsie didn't want to?

Thunder storm, Confusion and just plain Stubborn

Here in the valley we had one heck of a rainstorm during the night. Or so they tell me, I slept through it.

Iva claims her little dog is terrified of the thunder and lightening but I suspect, in fact, it is Iva who is terrified. My husband awoke during the night to the sound of the 'front door' closing. Iva takes her little dog out the back door always, where there is a fence and she and the dog are both relatively safe.

Out the front door, is danger for both of them. Iva would likely get lost and Mitzy is a good candidate for a coyote midnight snack. Apparently the noise of the thunderstorm, so disoriented Iva that she found the closest door and went outside. My husband, Arnold, also noticed the security light on the side of the house was ON so she had ventured out all the way out across the garage. Anyway, several steps. They were both lucky that no harm came to them.

What it boils down to is now we cannot leave her alone, at all.

Living with Aunt Iva and Alzheimer's

We didn't know it was Alzheimer's when we traveled to Kansas City, where Iva lived. Her friends had asked again and again for us to come and visit her for an extended stay. That means don't just drop in, take her to lunch and leave. But spend the night. Spend several nights. See what goes on in this house.

Our approach up to now had been give her a couple of hours while in town and hopefully eating out would take up most of the two hours. Her friends, though, were reporting extreme behavior regarding the big stack of mail her postman brought each and every day. Most of it was one sweepstakes or another. My husband was on her checking and savings account but we had respected her privacy and not checked on what she was doing with her money.

With all the concern from her friends, we investigated her accounts. What a shock to find she was spending about $2,000.00 per month in the money she was sending away to every possible scam. "Just mail this back and we'll enter your name in our drawing. You may win $50,000.00", or more, much more.

Can we sue Publisher's Clearing House and Reader's Digest? And if not, why not? They are the ones that made her feel the others were perhaps legitimate.

To make a long story short, she is now living in our house with us. II will try to add to this blog each day. It may be what keeps me sane. If that is now possible.

Response to AZ Republic Opnion of the Reverend Robin Hoover

This is in response to the Reverend Robin Hoover's article in the Opinion Section of the Arizona Republic, last Monday, 3/31/08. He says he would 'fall on the sword' of the Reverend Jerry Wright, (Obama's pastor of 20 years). He also claims that the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, is almost 'married to' the United Churches of Christ,


I can only speak of what I know as a member of the Sun City Christian church, Disciples of Christ. We have no connection to this apparently ignorant person or his radical beliefs.



He should know that the United Churches of Christ, as a group, disavowed any connection with Dr. Jerry Wright's radical church. So even if we were 'almost married to' the United Churches of Christ, which we aren't, it wouldn't apply in this case.



Dr. Wright, and one has to assume, his congregation, all hate America. They hate Jews, they hate white people and they especially hate rich white people.



Dr. Jerry Wright and his congregation awarded a medal of honor to Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan is a radical black man who also hates America and hates the Jews as well as countless other groups. Louis Farrakhan is currently the acting head of the Nation of Islam, and you know what they want to do to all of us 'non Muslims'.



Let me assure you that out here at the Sun City Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, we love our wonderful country. And how can you not love the Jews, for heaven's sake? Jesus was a Jew. His Mother Mary and Joseph the man who raised Him, were both Jews.



In my opinion, people who hate entire groups of people and those who hate this country, cannot rightly call themselves Christians. A Christian is loved with the unconditional, Agape Love of Jesus Christ. A Christian reflects that love in his/her life and daily activites.



We are about salvation and living eternally with Jesus in heaven. We are about our sins being forgiven because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. We are about love. We are not about hate. We may hate sin but we love the sinner.



At this point in the life of Sun City Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, we have recently called a new pastor, Dr. Steve Minor, who we expect will revitalize our aging congregation. Please know that we welcome visitors to our church and enthusiastically accept new members with open arms. We do not hear hate preached from the pulpit.



As for the Reverend Robin Hoover, wanting to throw himself onto the bigoted, racist, anti-American sword of Dr. Jerry Wright, I say, got on with it, if you must, but please know that I for one, and I believe that our congragation, at Sun City Christian Church want nothing to do with your ignorance or your supposed racist views.



Furthermore, we resent the implication that you speak for all Christian Churches, Disciples of Christ. Let me assure you that you do not speak for us out here in Sun City.

McCain Fears Huckabee Debate

One would think that a war hero such as John McCain would not even know fear. This man stood up to years of torture, the results of which make us cringe each time we see that he can't raise his arms.

A small thing like a debate with Huckabee should be something he could do standing on his head, yet he can't bring himself to agree to the event.

MSNBC has offered to do a Values Voters Debate on March 3rd. Huckabee says he will clear his schedule for the debate. For a few days, McCain indicated that he "Might" be willing to debate.

Apparently riddled with the 'fear' of being miserably shown up by Huckabee, McCain has decided that he can't / won't / dare to risk it.

So much for a fearless man to lead our country who can't even muster up the courage to debate Huckabee. WHAT A LAUGH MCCAIN IS TURNING OUT TO BE!

Sean Hannity, The Biggest Loser on Super Tuesday

While Huckabee was racking up wins in the Southern States to add to Iowa, the pundants had to admit that he existed. Not only did he exist but he was still a viable candidate for the office of the President of the United States of America.



Sean Hannity started out pushing Rudy. When he couldn't get any states at all he bailed after spending all the millions of dollars in ads. Sean thinks he is an advertising "know it all" so I'm sure he advised Rudy on the production of his ads. (For a fee no doubt.)



Then it was Fred Thompson and wife who had Hannity's full attention and admiration. Even when Thompson tried to knee-cap Huckabee at every opportunity, knowing that Huckabee had no financial means to fight back and get the truth out. This was fine with Hannity. It might have been a little dirty but heck, politics is dirty.



This after Sean took as 'gospel truth' all the lies, half truths and twisted truths that Romney spent millions of dollars on back in the Iowa Caucus. Day after day, 5 days a week, 3 hours a day, Sean kept repeating these lies hoping they would become truth in the minds of his audience.



Even though Huckabee was on Sean's show, explained several times the "TRUTH", Sean would turn right around in the next conversation on the very same DAY, and act as if he had never had the conversation, didn't believe what Huckabee said or liked better believing and spreading the lie.



This from the man who claims over and over again to have "moral integrity", (one of his favorite terms).



To our disbelief, the next thing was Sean saying that Huckabee was not competing in Florida. Huckabee tried as much as he could to say, "NOT TRUE!", but many more people heard Sean than heard Huckabee and went on to vote for someone who was in the race, only to say later, "But we heard from Sean Hannity and FOX News that he wasn't competing here."

Imagine Sean's surprise, as the results began to come in, to find out he didn't have the power or influence he thought he had. America said, "We don't agree with you Sean!" "We don't believe you Sean!" "We don't trust you anymore, Sean!" "We won't be listening to you anymore, Sean Hannity!"

Was it for money, for power or for the thrill of seeing what he hoped was his control over peoples thoughts? Only Sean knows but what is abundantly clear is this.

Sean Hannity was and likely will continue to be, "The Biggest Loser on Super Tuesday, 2008".

Mike Huckabee has our values

While this was written the day before Super Tuesday in an email to most everyone I knew, I wanted to preserve it so am posting it to my blog the day after. (02/06/08)



Originally, they tried to convince everyone that Huckabee was too Liberal with twisted facts, half truths and outright lies. Now they say "don't vote for Huckabee because you're just taking away a Conservative vote from Romney". Well, they can't have it both ways. Either he is a Liberal or a Conservative, how can he be both? Huckabee hasn't changed anything. It's Romney who just recently became a conservative, with enough money to buy whatever label he decides is beneficial to attach to himself.


It's bad enough that Romney says Huckabee should drop out even though Huckabee has nearly as many delegates as Romney does. But the networks act as if Huckabee doesn't exist. They try to say our only voting choices are McCain and Romney even though 2 other candidates are on the Republican ballot. The media telling us what to think! Hmmmmm, lets see......... What country are we in?



What in the world are they afraid of and they do seem to be 'afraid' of Huckabee? Could it be because Huckabee really is a Conservative? Could it be because he really is a Christian? Or are they just afraid of someone who has never sold his soul to the Washington Devil?



He doesn't come from the Washington beltway. Nobody owns him.

He is for our troops leaving Iraq but only when we leave as victors and with dignity. (check out Romney)

He is for building a fence, closing our borders and is strong on illegal immigration. (Otherwise would Hunter Duncan endorse him?)

He will be strong on defending our country against terrorists.

He dares to have a plan to abolish the IRS in the FAIR TAX. That would fix our hurting economy once and for all.

He won't take away our guns. (check out Romney)

He values life from conception to death. (check out Romney)

He doesn't think gays should be allowed to get married. (Dare we hope that we might also get homosexuality discussions out of the Kindergarten classrooms?)
He thinks we should be educating both sides of the brains of students and knows that will dramatically change the drop out rate for the better.
He thinks if we spend a little money aiming at and maintaining healthy bodies, we won't have so much catastrophic illness for which to pay.

Students of history know that the Roman Empire and other civilizations have crumbled from within when the values of the people were so clouded and so compromised that no one was sure anymore what they stood for. When a civilization crumbles from within, what remains is easily snatched up by circling vultures. Mike Huckabee has the values we have and will fight to preserve them before its too late.

He is the one for whom I am voting. If you are voting on Tuesday, please know that Huckabee is definitely in the race to win and he can and will win if we all for for him. (And how fun would it be to watch the talking heads on the networks try to explain what just happened.)

WHO KNEW????

Who knew that the day would come when Rush Limbaugh would think he was right, be convinced he was right, but yet be wrong?



Who knew that the day would come when Sean Hannity would rattle off a list of reasons why he was right (in whatever point he was making), but now, most people would question whether he was being factual or if he once again had a hidden agenda. Many people admitting great disappointment in both of them, simply quit listening, found other radio stations.



What a surprise not to be able to trust the once most beloved names in Conservative Radio! Who knew that when the silent majority was no longer silent, when the Sleeping American Giant finally woke up, who knew that Rush and Sean, Laura Ingraham, and even FOX News would not be on the side of the Christians?



Are they too busy to go to http://www.mikehuckabee.com/ and check out the 'truth squad'? Are they too busy to watch some of the videos or read of Huckabee's positions on the many issues? Apparently they are too busy! They are taking the word of the 'drive by media', the people they have supposedly spoken against all these years.



If they had time to check it out or could 'afford' to have someone on their staff investigate the truth, they could see that they are running with twisted truths, half truths and out right lies. They are buying into these as truths. They are not investigating to discover the truth. Where is their discernment?



What a shock to both Rush and Sean that the power to influence the folks, they thought they had, doesn't actually exist! The people who are with Mike Huckabee are Born Again Christians and the Americans who no longer wish to be silent. Apparently Rush and Sean are not among them.



Along with the Born Again crowd are the people who cringed when the athiests took the 10 commandments off our court house walls. We all scowled when they wanted to take "Under God" out of the Pledge to our dear flag. They want to remove "In God We Trust" from our Money.



As we watched the coverage of Hurricane Katrina. We saw them take away the guns of the citizens. After that, only the criminals and the police, (most of whom were corrupt), had guns and the individual citizens and the home owners were helpless when gangs of thugs came to rape the women and loot their belongings. And the gangs of thugs did come and they did rape the women and steal the belongings of the citizens. Who could fight them off? The government had confiscated all of their registered guns.



We cried when they said it was no big deal to kill the unborn babies and we sat in disbelief as we heard of accounts of the nearly full term babies who had their brains sucked from their skulls outside of the womb, and we wondered what kind of monsters could kill these helpless babies, but we felt helpless to engage them or to challenge them.

We didn't know they had changed the text books regarding American History or we might have risen up earlier.



But when we saw the people of San Francisco say 'Oh well," and hold still while the transvestites mocked the Catholic Church and all of Christianity, while taking communion in outrageous outfits, we were horrified and realized we had been silent too long.



We even questioned, "Is it too late?" and answered, "It is too late!" They have taken our country from us while we were sleeping. We are helpless to fight them. It is too far gone.



But then the debates started. We saw the Christian heart, the brilliant wit and intelligence of Mike Huckabee and we liked him, but while he was down into the single digits in the polls, it seemed futile. Most of us said, we sure like Mike Huckabee, but he can never get elected.



Suddenly, as if orchestrated by God himself, Huckabee was rising in the polls. We watched as he delivered one liners like "Congress has been spending money like John Edwards at a beauty shop." We laughed, we enjoyed, we almost were afraid to let ourselves hope.

We were afraid to hope because finally here was a candidate who would fight for the 2nd Amendment, (we keep our guns), one who stands strong against illegal immegration, wants to educate all students even if what they are interested in is music or art, and would put the IRS out of business with the Fair Tax. He is the one who with all of us watching his back, will stand up for the helpless unborn babies. Our country might once again value the lives of children and the elderly. In a word, we might 'value' life.



We began to wonder if possibly Huckabee could win. We soon realized that yes, he could win but all of us were going to have to help him. We expected we would have to pray, but soon we realized we were going to have to get onto our computers and contact our friends and relatives.



For most of us being first timers at this, we were going to have to donate money to a political campaign. Maybe we would even have to join a Mike Huckabee for President group and see what we could do in a small way or in a big way to help this dear Godly man get elected to the office of the President of the United States of America.



We never dreamed that we would be fighting the very people we had always held so close to our hearts. We never expected to be on opposite sides with Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and our beloved FOX News.



This separation of minds, broke our hearts, but, because many of us regularly have conversations with God, we knew that we would stand strong. We knew that we would 'put on the full armor of God'. We knew that there would be many who would not understand but we could no longer be silent. If we didn't speak up, 'the very stones and rocks would shout out'.



May God Bless Mike Huckabee! And may God Bless the people of America who know there is now no turning back. The sleeping giant of Americans has awakened and we will not soon be lulled back to sleep. We are once again in control and have taken back our country. Stand back and watch the polls. Watch as hope begins to rise among Americans. Watch as we once again take pride in the strong country we love. As this miracle unfolds, we will have renewed faith in the American Dream. The country where there are no limits of what one can accomplish as long as there are no limits on your dreams and your willingness to work to achieve them.

WAHOO! IOWA ROCKS!

Mike Huckabee is the early clear winner of the Iowa Caucus! WAHOO!!!!!!

Do you get sick of all the pundants saying it is only the Evangelical Christians that will vote for him so wait till New Hampshire?

What about New Hampshire? Are they all heathens who have no love for the country we have very nearly lost to the enemy?

What is with FOX News that they could barely bring themselves to talk about Huckabee winning? They only talked about the Democrats race.

On the radio today Sean Hannity was interviewing Romney and giving him sympathy for the nasty attack Huckabee did on him. UNBELIEVABLE!

When the new viewer ratings are posted, look for FOX News to have lost tons of viewers. Those of us who really want "fair an balanced" have moved on to MSNBC and CNN. We have even discovered the Bloomberg Network. Many other places to get the news. We do not need to give Sean or FOX News or for that matter Rush, our ears, our eyes, our minds, our time or our attention any more. They have shown their ugly manipulative side and it doesn't look good on them.

Now we are wondering what else they fed us in the past that was tainted or just plain not true. What they have been trying to spread about Huckabee is unforgiveable. With just a little bit of investigation into his website at www.mikehuckabee.com, they could have discovered the truth.

They apparently want to believe the lies they have been told. They retell the lies and half truths as fact. Shame on them! I am so disappointed that they would not investigate to find out the truth about Mike Huckabee. I don't keep friends like that. Surely I will no longer let a news network into my home that outright lies about important issues. Shame on FOX News and shame on Sean Hannity! You have greatly disappointed me!

Can you see it?

When I close my eyes, I can clearly see the image of Mike Huckabee all dressed up in one impressive navy suit accessorized with an elegant red tie. He has his hand on his favorite Bible. Standing beside him is his lovely wife Janet and his 3 children. Standing before him is Supreme Court Justice John Roberts.

Judge Roberts says "Repeat after me', and then he proceeds to administer the Oath of Office for the President of the United States of America.

Can you see it too?

God Bless Iowa!

The media is all over Iowa. Tonight they will all move on to New Hampshire. Building up Iowa before they leave it in their dust and it becomes yesterdays news.

We can only hope that Iowans will do us proud. We can only hope that they have seen what unlimited amounts of money can buy and reject being bought. We can only hope that when they caucus tonight, they will bring with them a hope for the future of the country.

If Huckabee wins tonight, Iowa will tell America that its still okay to have hope. Iowa will tell America that the country was not lost forever, just pushed dangerously close to being pushed over a cliff.
